One beautiful starry summer night I went to visit my Aunt Luna whom is a fortune teller at the circus. It was right after the big show had finished up and there were still quite a few civilians hanging around. There was a line at the fortune telling booth and the smell of elephant ears was wafting towards me so I decided to grab one while I was waiting because really who can withstand that torture? As I was waiting in line you will never guess who decided to meander right up next to me and turn on the charm. It was none other then Bozo the clown. I ignored him the best I could, with his plastic flowers and never ending hankies. I tried really hard to ignore him, but he was excruciatingly annoying and I could not stop myself. I turned toward him and stuck my finger in his face getting ready to tell him off, when he did it. He squeezed the cute plastic flower on his chest, and luke warm water hit me square in the face. At that moment I wish I had a fish to slap him with. But nay, I had not but the hair on my head, the clothes on my body, and my five dollars to buy the elephant ear with. So I said, "Hay funny guy, I will give you five dollars if you get the hell out of my face!" he thought about it for a second with a finger tapping his chin, and finally in a bright squeaky voice said, "Okay." I breathed a sigh of relief, got out of line, and went back to my Aunts fortune telling booth, where thankfully the line was gone.
I go to push open the curtain, when someone taps me on the shoulder. I turn around and it is the clown. He has one hand behind his back and a crowd gathered behind him. How had I missed them following me?? I turn to run into the tent and hide because I am petrified of what this clown has in store for me. But the evil clown grabs my wrist and is to strong for me to break his grip. He has a wide smile on his face, and I see the hand hidden behind his back start to be unveiled, I close my eyes and hunch my shoulders waiting for my fate when.....
Nothing happens. I open one eye, then the other and gasp in surprise when I see... an elephant ear! I open the other eye and stand up straight. The dreaded clown got me an elephant ear? The crowd is roaring with laughter, and all I can do is blush. The silly clown hands me the elephant ear, kisses me on the cheek, and does cartwheels through the crowd and out of my line of sight.
